IMRT Treatment

Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, or IMRT, uses the latest technology to modulate the radiation beam. This gives the radiation therapist the ability to shape the radiation to the exact shape of the tumor. IMRT spares the healthy tissue surrounding the tumor, while providing radiation where it is needed.

IMRT has revolutionized the treatment of cancer and is providing for more advances in therapy. Procedures such as Stereotactic Radiosurgery are making treatable cancers that were untreatable only a few years ago.
